Alex Fthenakis

Alex Fthenakis is a Glasgow-based offroad adventure cyclist originally from California. He stumbled into this world in 2010 when he didn't have enough time off Uni to walk the whole West Highland Way so rode the route instead on a secondhand rim-brake MTB he'd bought at the Barras for £50. Then one thing led to another which led to another until, in 2023, he found himself completing the GBDuro. He finished the Trans Alba Race in 2024 and is now spending a couple years focused on one-day gravel races to leave a bit more room for other life commitments.

By day, Alex is a leadership and communications trainer/facilitator, voiceover artist, and theatre maker.
