Saz Harris

Name: Saz Harris

Age: 32

Cap number: 9

Location: Edinburgh

Bike: Bike is a Kinesis G2 that I got about a month ago and am absolutely loving, with Panaracer GravelKing Slick tyres running tubeless on a Sector R26 wheelset.

Key items of kit: Apidura 9L seat pack that will have my sleeping system (Alpkit hunka bivvy, cloudbase mat and silk liner) and extra layers. Food pouches for lots of snacks, top tube bag for electronics (20,000mAh Anker powerbank as I'm not running a dynamo hub), Straightcut frame bag for hygiene items, and an Alpkit handlebar bag for tools. This is lightweight packing for me and yet it weighs an absolute tonne!

I'll be (hopefully) staying on track with a Garmin 530, lezyne lights, shockz headphones, and a GoPro for taking lots of obnoxious videos :)

Michael Porter

Name: Michael Porter

Age: 25

Cap number: 25

Location: Sheffield

Bike: Pinnacle Arkose d3 gravel bike

Key items of kit: Tires: 45mm up front, 35mm cintuato on the back (what I had on there, comfy but not the quickest). Group set: combo of GRX, 105 and Ultegra Gear Range: 46/30 with 11-42 cassette (should help with the hills in Lake District)! Power meter: 4iiii (I’ve started training with one and found fitness increase lots, but will be using this to make sure I don’t push too hard early on in the event). Saddle: got a brooks b17 saddle from FB which I’m breaking in. Decided to cut a pressure relief channel in the middle because you’re meant to make lots of last minute changes before a major event right?!

Luggage, went for value: Mountain Warehouse £10 top tube bag is brilliant, saddle bag from Ali express and Topeak 6L frame bag.

Will be carrying around 3L at a time and planning to stop and take a break/stretch each time these are emptied (5-6hrs).

Electrics: power bank, quad lock phone holder, and lots of lights.

And lots and lots of fruit malt loaf
