Bike: My ride is a Chiru X-root. True, titanium is bit heavier than carbon, but the comfort it gives you, combined with 32mm tires on carbon Duke-rims, after miles and miles is uncomparable. Lights are Supernova, powered by a Son Delux Dynamo.

Key items of kit: On the back a nice and steady Tailfin. Together with the Apidura long race top tube bag for all my snacks and cell phone close at hand. I do keep a small separate pouch underneath the seat for those quick mechanical repairs - not much of a looker, but practical enough.
