Pascal Sautter

Age: 31

Cap number: 342

Location: Stuttgart, Germany

Bike: CANYON Grizl CF SL 7 eTap with a SRAM Rival XPLR aTap AXS 10-44 12S. For me, 45mm tires (G-One Bite) are a good compromise for this type of tour. These are complemented by DT Swiss G1800 wheels. I take a spare battery for the gears, even if one battery should be sufficient.

Key items of kit: My bag setup consists of an Apidura frame bag, Ortlieb saddle bag and Apidura food pouch. I will be navigating with a Garmin 1030 plus. My sleeping setup consists of an air mattress, a sleeping bag and a bivy. In addition to the equipment shown, I use a backpack with a hydration bladder. Overall, this is probably my lightest setup to date.

Bike: CANYON Grizl 7 Trail with a Shimano GRX RX810 46/30 and 11-34 11s. The RockShox Rudy 30 suspension fork is particularly comfortable on gravel or off-road.

Key items of kit: My equipment consists of an Apidura frame bag, an Ortlieb saddle bag and, very important for me, a well-filled food bag so that I don't get hangry. :) I also have a 1.5L hydration bladder in the frame bag to bridge longer distances between drinking water sources.
