Bikes of GBDURO22

8 August, 2022

GBDURO poses one of the greatest kit-list conundrums for riders; a 2,000km mixed-terrain route with three checkpoints where many riders will be waiting for a day or more and are disallowed from sleeping indoors, unlike previous years.

Riders equip themselves for both the riding and the resting, not to mention the notorious British weather. But with so much equipment to keep them comfortable at checkpoints, could this make them more likely to stop and slip into their tents mid-stage? Or will they push on for the relative comfort of the CPs?

Bike: I'll be riding my Canyon Grizl SLX; AKA "DADDY". I've got some Apidura bags, some aerobars and a water bottle that I think I found at the arch?
