Bike: My bike is a beachracer-turned-gravel Frankenstein monster. It features a boost 29er hardtail frame with a rigid front fork and drop bars. It means I can run 2.35-inch Schwalbe Thunder Burts on 35mm internal width rims, perfect for minimizing rolling resistance at low tire pressures (shoutout to BicycleRollingResistance and Dylan Johnson). For gearing, I have a 1x mechanical Apex setup with a 40T chainring up front and a 10-42T cassette at the back. Its finished off with a Coefficient RR handlebar, 36cm wide, for those aero gains. This setup hopefully strikes a balance between speed & enough comfort for the ultra.
