Bikes of Gravel del Fuego 2024

Riders at Gravel del Fuego are packing for the southernmost bikepacking race where no race has ever gone before. Packing enough for a relatively fast race with extremely limited resupply will be an art. This 1,000km route on a mix of good gravel and asphalt

Riders have been allowed drop bags at the CP5 which for most simply includes food and inner tubes. Resupply is few and far between but riders are well aware of this. Additionally, there are no bike shops en route so a bag drop will also allow for some mid-race bike maintenance. The route shouldn’t be too hard on the bikes, providing it’s dry.
