Key items of kit: Definitely the Tumbleweed T-Rack which holds my tent poles on one side, a small Ortlieb fork pack on the other, and a Seatosummit 20l dry bag, which holds all my sleeping gear, clothes and other essentials. The specialized bags hold all the stuff that I might need to access throughout the day like food, rain jacket (hopefully not) and other layers of clothes. The tent is mounted via a BBB harness and a topeak front bag on top to hold my electronics and other valuables. Two food bags on the bar which are empty at the start and finally a tool bottle on the downtube with all my tools and spares.

Finally, I have the cheeky little 5L Musette Packable bag that sneaks behind my frame pack to carry all the snacks I don't have room for in my bags and pockets after a fuel stop. Bike: GIANT FATHOM 29er 2023 XL size – cheap, big and sturdy aluminum frame, hardtail-trail bike with 1x10 Shimano DEORE groupset 30t/11-46. Rolling tubeless on Maxxis Minion DHF, 29x2.5 (front) and Maxxis Aggressor, 29x2.5 (rear). Equipped with Giant’s Crest 34 fork (130mm travel) and a dropper post should be enough to conquer the Istrian tarmac. It will probably not let my dot move at the speed of light but it’s not always the point or? 😊

Key items of kit: I wish I wouldn’t need to carry all that stupid and heavy stuff like spare tubes, sealant bottles, sewing kit, patches, extra clothes, powerbanks etc… but I guess it’s all necessary. Otherwise Knog PWR Trail 1000L front light to get me through the night and my luxurious sleeping system with a cozy 490g Alpine Locker Down sleeping bag, large Ultralight Air Sleeping Mat and Aeros Ultralight Pillow (!) plus a no-name Lightweight Emergency Tent to lie on or hide in would be the items I am most fond of. And to finish all off: some Sudocrem for my butt to be able to stay in the game till the end.
