Tatiana Myk

Name: Tatiana Myk

Age: 31

Cap number: 51

Location: Berlin

Bike: A bike assembled with love, planning and a bit of improvisation. Handmade titanium frame from Triton Bikes was made for me last year in Russia. Some carbon parts, electrical wiring and a dynamo hub, which will allow me to take limitless videos and photos of gorgeous views and not be tied to power outlets. As well as a light at night. The 8bar 27.5 wheels have passed the winter endurance test and the 50mm Schwalbe tyres will help provide comfort, softness and grip on gravel areas. The waterproof 8bar bags fit perfectly inside my small frame will keep all my stuff dry. Water and a couple of snacks I plan to carry in a small rucksack. Overall, this bike is my little pride, joy and just an extension of my body. My friend and comrade in all my past and future adventures!

Key items of kit: - Titanium Frame

  • GRX Di2
  • 27,5” 50mm
  • Waterproof 8bar frame bag

Arnaud Freyburger

Name: Arnaud Freyburger

Age: 45

Cap number: 19

Location: Ingolstadt, Germany

Bike: Rose Backroad carbon frame, carbon fork. This bike is a "double mullet": mullet because of the different sizes of the wheels (front 29", back 650b) and mullet because of the mix of drivetrain components road/MTB. Drivetrain 1x12 by SRAM (Force / X0). Front wheel with SON dynamo hub laced on a light DUKE rim. René Herse tires with tubes. Good old Shimano XTR pedals. Lights (front and rear) by Busch&Muller. Helmet light by K-Lamp. Brooks C15 carved saddle. Tailfin Aeropack and cargo cage system. Miss Grape frame bags and pouch.

Key items of kit: I really enjoy the double mullet system. Quick accelerations, great agility and good uphill ability. I also love that saddle! Despite being a big fan of tubeless tires, I prefer the simplicity of tubes when it comes to a bike packing event like this one!
