Bike: I am riding my BMC URS 01 Two with an exchanged frame and some small changes. It has a SRAM Force AXS 40t x 10-52t, a waxed chain, Schwalbe G-One R, 40mm/45mm (tubeless).

Key items of kit: I am riding with a power bank instead of a dynamo. My bags are from Ortlieb and Restrap. One of the top tube bags is only for nutrition. The lights are from Sigma. Nothing special but solid.

Bike: Focus Atlas 8.9 carbon with 0.0 km on the clock. SRAM Rival eTap AXS, 40*10-44 (hope it's enough), DT Swiss GR1600 tubeless wheels, Adventure Rack for the luggage and good mood for the energy!

Key items of kit: I'll try to sleep in my Nordisk Lofoten tent on a Sea To Summit UltraLight Mat. Hopefully the NOMAD Pegasus 340 keeps me warm at night. My head lays down on a simple but very useful inflatable pillow from Forclaz (tip!). I've different types of bags for clothes and a AGU frame bag. I will try to find my way with a Bryton Rider 800. Eat everything that cross my path, so be careful!

Jay Verhulsdonck

Age: 30

Location: Utrecht

Bike: Giant TCX cross bike. I feel this will be a great bike for this route, though it is my only bike so I did not have a choice. Built my first set of wheels this year, with a set of Nextie rims and DT 350 hubs. This will be the first big test for those, with Specialized Tracer tyres (47mm front / 42mm rear). Shimano GRX (mostly), with a Sram 10-42 cassette and a 34t front chainring for the race to deal with the offroad climbing.

Key items of kit: Mostly Apidura bags. After Paris-Brest-Paris last year with just a space blanket, this year I bring a full bivvy bag sleeping system, even including a pillow for maximum comfort. Total 3L water and space for lots of food.
