Dom Chung

Age: 54

Location: Hamilton

Bike: A 2015 Titanium Hardtail Titus Fireline running on 29" carbon wheels with Continental Raceking 2.25. Converted to 12 speed Sram GX AXS to facilitate the ability to shift wirelessly on drops and on aerobars. Frame bags are custom made by my friend GaryC in Hamilton and they have survived the Tour Divide so far. The pannier rack is from Mica Cycles and it is loaded with 2 axiom panniers. Have gone back to a 175mm shimano crank pushing a 32 tooth chainring for more climbing torque. Not running a dynamo will power the night using Fenix flashlights.

Key items of kit: Have learnt lots from my first tour divide attempt, and hopefully this new revision proves to be lighter and more effective. Will still be using a Bivy from OR, but adding a small tarp for added rain protection if needed. Layering is key and have now added Alpha Direct technical clothing from Lobtree, to keep me warm and dry while navigating between efforts and environmental temperatures. Nutrition Nutrition Nutrition from F2C should keep me energized between resupplies. Would have loved to be 100% liquid diet, but i'm not quite at that level of dedication yet.
