Bike: I'll be riding an Enigma Etape GRX 1x - 42T up front, 11-42 at the back. Hunt 35 Carbon Aero wheels with Pirelli Cinturato Velo 700x35 tubeless tyres for a blend of fast rolling, comfort and puncture protection. Profile tribars for comfort more than speed. Prologo Scratch M5 PAS saddle. Ritchey bars, stem, seatpost.
Key items of kit: Bags - a mix of Apidura and Ortlieb, with a tool bottle under the down tube.
Sleep system - Alpkit Elan hooped bivvy, Cloudbase mat and Sea to Summit Extreme sleeping bag liner. Backed up with a Mountain Equipment micofleece top and Columbia ultralight trousers. No sleeping bag this time as it's due to be mild-ish and the clothing plus liner offer similar warmth. It's also versatile and compact. Hoping to sleep indoors on night two, but will book it on the fly as won't know in advance how far along the route I'll be.

Key items of kit: Set up with 52/34 and 11-32 I hope I have the right gearing and leg combination to tackle the steep climbs of the Wild West Country route. To not go completely TCR-like I’ve booked a few B&Bs and am hoping to complete the route over three days.
