Just on catch up after a busy day yesterday. Fran in her first bikepacking event came home in 48 hours setting a new benchmark and inspiration for the ladies. She used her mtb skills to tackle the terrain on her gravel bike superbly. She battled through the challenges of feeling somewhat isolated as we know everyone can feel to some extent on these types of events but at times particularly women. So even more congrats to be the solo fenale finisher and we're delighted for her achievement. 

Other riders have filtered back with tired but smiling faces and huge satisfaction in both the supporter and self supported events.

If bikepacking wasn't your thing MTB Epics also offer supported events and have run a four day supported ride taking bags and tents ahead for riders. They still cover a hefty 50 miles a day but the vibe looks good!

Andy wins the cotswolds 200 in 27 hours 53mins 

Andy Deacon wins!

tom watt was the rider in front but has had navigation issues so had to shortcut leaving andy and david battling for the win we think. andy has come up the last climb first so just along the canal to bath mow to be first back. what a recovery!

andy has had to take a break after some sickness, hopefully he can recover to get to the finish today. David has cracked on in chase of the potential unknown leader still yet to be identified, did they see a ghosy?!

It was ambition + under training! Packed too light in terms of multiple layers and went slower than expected.. got too cold + didn’t have the strength in the legs for the elevation.. will be there next year though!

word from andy and david is that an unknown rider has come past them whilst packing up bivi after a short cease fire nap. Rumour is it could be GB triathlete james mccall whose tracker isnt working. Attempting to contact him to check.
