The Alps region is seeing an upsurgence in off-road bikepacking events, and Lakes ‘n’ Knödel is among this trend hosting its inaugural event in 2024. This brand new race that prioritises cycling, community and culinary art is dubbed as ideal for a rookie rider thanks to the plentiful accommodation and excellent food at the mountain refuges. Discounts have been offered to riders who reach the start line via train and bike in an attempt to encourage greener travel to the event.
