Monaco di Baviera Classic is not just a ride—it’s a battle of self-overcoming. An epic journey where the fiercest opponent is yourself.

Many will come in “adventure mode”, chasing not a classification but the pure experience. Others will go full “racing mode,” hunting checkpoints, chasing time, pushing every limit.

Among the top contenders is Adam Bialek. A titan of ultracycling, the German powerhouse has dominated nearly every race he entered in recent years. After victories at the Two Volcano Sprint and VIA Race, he returns in 2025 with fire in his legs, fresh off a fierce duel with @brunowicht at Race Through Poland, where he finished second.

Also lining up: Omar Di Felice @omardifelice. The Italian ultra-specialist has podiumed in nearly every race he’s completed. A master of icy conditions, he’ll be riding out of his favourite environment this year, with scorching heat in the forecast. But greatness adapts.

Also is Benny Karl @benny_karl. A world and Olympic champion in snowboarding, now stepping into the unknown. Can he translate his raw talent and Olympic grit to the long, steep climbs of #MdBC25? Time will tell.

#MdBCLegends return. Veterans like @borisjosch, Erik Lommel, and @ferrucciolabita come back to conquer what once conquered them. They know the course. They’ve learned from the past.

Behind them, a wide field of fierce contenders. Ultradistance warriors like @joshua.leq7, @timebandit_hd, @cycle.tomek, @guneglobal, @mo.schi_cycling, @pellervo.faust, @marqi_marcs, @emielboersma, @lennardvanoosten and more.

On June 21, 2025, the roads of Munich will bear witness to the commencement of the second edition of Monaco di Baviera Classic: MdBC25. This challenge is a pilgrimage for the fearless, a test of endurance that weaves through the heart of the Alps and the Dolomites. Riders will embark on a journey spanning up to 1,550 kilometers, ascending over 30,000 meters, and conquering some of the most legendary mountain passes known to cycling enthusiasts. __The Route: A Tapestry of Triumph and Tenacity__

__Munich: The Dawn of the Challenge__.
The adventure begins in Munich, where the flat terrain offers a brief respite before the impending climbs. Riders will traverse the scenic bike paths and secondary roads of Bavaria, setting the stage for the formidable journey ahead.

__Eng Alm (Austria)__. 
Crossing into Austria, participants will ascend the Rißtal valley to reach Eng Alm at 1,250 meters. This optional checkpoint offers a taste of the challenges to come, rewarding riders with panoramic alpine vistas.

__Reschenpass (Italy).__ 
Entering Italy via the Reschenpass at 1,502 meters, cyclists will be greeted by the sight of the iconic church tower rising from the waters of Lake Resia. This serene landscape marks a peaceful interlude before the formidable climbs ahead.

__Passo dello Stelvio.__ 
Known as "His Majesty," Passo dello Stelvio stands at 2,757 meters, making it the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps. The 24.9-kilometer ascent with an average gradient of 7.4% is both a physical and mental challenge, demanding every ounce of strength from the riders.

__Sentiero Valtellina.__ 
The Sentiero Valtellina is a pristine bike path that guide cyclists along the Adda River. This segment offers a brief respite, allowing riders to recover amidst breathtaking landscapes.

__Passo del Mortirolo.__ 
One of the most iconic climbs in Giro d’Italia history, Passo del Mortirolo presents a grueling ascent of 12.2 kilometers at an average gradient of 10.7%. Climbed from Mazzo di Valtellina, this legendary pass tests the resolve of even the most seasoned cyclists.

__Passo Gavia.__ 
Second Checkpoint. Rising to 2,621 meters, Passo Gavia is a challenging climb that rewards riders with awe-inspiring views. The ascent from Ponte di Legno is both demanding and spectacular, offering a true alpine experience.

__Passo Tonale.__ 
A historical climb, Passo Tonale stretches over 30 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1,200 meters from Edolo. This segment serves as a prelude to the more formidable climbs that lie ahead.

__Lake Garda Loop.__ 
Cyclists will embark on a loop from Trento to the iconic Lake Garda, adding two more checkpoints to their journey. The route features excellent bike paths, providing a scenic and relatively flat segment amidst the challenging climbs.

__Passo Manghen.__ 
This 22.9-kilometer climb with an average gradient of 7.2% ascends to 2,047 meters. The final 7 kilometers, characterized by a narrow road, offer riders a dramatic and rewarding ascent.

__Ciclabile Val di Fiemme e Fassa.__ 
Spanning 38 kilometers, this marked bike path between Molina di Fiemme and Fontanazzo is a favorite among cyclists. The route offers a peaceful and picturesque ride through the heart of the Dolomites.

__Passo Sella.__ 
Climbing from Canazei, cyclists will conquer Passo Sella and to add one checkpoint more. This pass offers some of the most breathtaking views in the Dolomites.

__Passo Pordoi.__
Known as the "Queen of the Dolomites," Passo Pordoi stands at 2,239 meters. The climb is both challenging and spectacular, offering riders a true alpine experience.

__Passo Valparola.__ 
Conquering both Passo Falzarego and Passo Valparola, this segment adds another checkpoint to the rider's journey. The climbs are demanding yet rewarding, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

__Passo Fedaia – Marmolada.__ 
Ascending to 2,057 meters, this climb leads riders along the shores of Lake Fedaia. The stunning scenery and challenging ascent make this checkpoint a memorable part of the journey.

__Passo Giau.__ 
A true legend of the Giro d’Italia, Passo Giau rises to over 2,200 meters. The climb offers riders breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit.

__Tre Cime Lavaredo.__ 
For those with remaining energy, the climb to Rifugio Auronzo offers a close-up view of the iconic Tre Cime. The ascent is challenging, but the view is a fitting reward for the effort.

__Sella Ciampigotto.__ 
Less renowned but equally beautiful, Sella Ciampigotto and Sella di Razzo offer a serene and picturesque ride through the Dolomites. These passes provide a peaceful interlude amidst the more challenging climbs.

__Monte Zoncolan.__ 
Considered one of the toughest climbs in cycling grand tours, Monte Zoncolan ascends to 1,750 meters. The steep gradients and challenging terrain make this climb a true test of endurance.

__Alpe Adria Radweg__. 
This segment is not just a bike path but an adventure in itself. Riders will traverse numerous bridges and tunnels, creating a theme park-like experience amidst the stunning alpine scenery.

__Großglockner Alpenstrasse & Edelweißspitze__. 
The highest paved point on the Großglockner Alpine Road at 2,571 meters, Edelweißspitze offers a challenging ascent and breathtaking views. The climb to Hochtor Pass just before adds to the grandeur of this segment.

__Kitzbüheler Horn__. 
The final checkpoint is perhaps the most challenging climb of the entire route. With gradients exceeding 25%, the ascent to 1,996 meters is a formidable test of strength and determination.

__Return to Munich.__ 
The journey culminates back in Munich, where riders will cross the finish line before sunset on June 28, 2025. Completing the MdBC25 is not just an achievement; it's an inscription in the Hall of Legends, a testament to the rider's endurance and spirit.
