Five days into SNEAK PEAKS, the event has delivered its most emotional moments yet: champions crowned, friendships forged on the toughest climbs, and the final riders pushing towards Bozen through storms.

## ADVENTURE
The Adventure crown belongs to __Florent Rodot__, who held off the chasing duo to finish in a staggering 5d 22h 49m. Behind him, __Ludwig Steiner__ and __Roman Schraner__ rolled into Bozen side by side after 6d 0h 43m, sharing not only the finish but the story of their entire ride. The three spent much of the route together, supporting each other through crashes and setbacks, proving that in ultra-distance riding, camaraderie can be as strong as competition. A beautiful finish to an epic battle.

## CLASSIC
The Classic podium is about to be complete with Luca, Matteo, and Raoul expected to arrive today, bringing the top five safely back to Bozen. Out on the road, the Party Pace Patrol continues to do what it does best, keeping spirits high, riding as a group, and supporting each other through punishing rainstorms.

## ENTRÉE
The Entrée route is nearly wrapped up. With 23 riders already back in Bozen, only three remain on course. They’re expected to finish tomorrow, adding their names to what has already been an incredible year for this category. 

## THE BIG PICTURE
Many of the riders are describing the event as the hardest but most beautiful thing they have done to date. The party pace patrol is what kept some pushing, expecting to reach a well chosen spot to spend the night in good company.

The weather continues its unpredictable rhythm, bursts of sun ahead, mixed with showers but the general outlook is looking better than before.


Day 5: crowns claimed, podiums filled, and the last miles unfolding

Four days into SNEAK PEAKS, it's showing its full spectrum, head-to-head battles at the front, heroic finishes, and unforgettable moments on iconic climbs.

## ADVENTURE
The lead has tightened, Florent and Roman have reeled in Ludwig, and all three spent the night at Rifugio Scarpa. Florent made an early move this morning, sneaking ahead in hopes of holding the pace to the line. It’s now a three-way showdown for the crown. Behind them, the rest of the Adventure field is turning into the Dolomites, expecting epic scenery and even tougher miles.

## CLASSIC
__The first finishers have arrived!__
__Benjamin Maibach__ put in a monster effort, riding steady and strong to claim victory in 3 days, 7 hours, 9 minutes, what an impressive feat! Behind him, __Lorenz Eimansberger__ delivered a stunning push through the night to finish second early this morning, clocking 3 days, 22 hours, 18 minutes. Luca and Matteo are chasing hard, with Luca eyeing that final podium spot.

Further back, riders are threading their way through the Dolomites. But with storms on the horizon and 300km still to go, some are weighing the painful choice to scratch rather than face what’s coming.

Meanwhile, the Party Pace Patrol is collecting unforgettable memories: 15 riders gathered to climb the iconic Stelvio Pass, winding through its 48 dramatic switchbacks. “The most beautiful thing I’ve ever ridden,” said Justus. After a night at Berghaus Eishof, nine riders rolled out together this morning, spirits high after conquering one of cycling’s holy grails.

## ENTRÉE
The spotlight today belongs to __Milena Wiegand__, the first woman to finish the Entrée route and 8th overall, in a brilliant 81h 45m. Riding side by side with her brother Robert, she delivered a masterclass in ultra-endurance: digging deep when it mattered but keeping her head up to take in the landscapes. She avoided riding after dark and set out early each day to savor the highlights scattered across the Northern Italian Mountains.

Arriving back in Bozen, she was nothing but relaxed, with her legs still feeling good, and probably the only one admitting to having genuinely enjoyed the hike-a-bikes.

The Entrée Party Pace Patrol also closed their loop back to Bozen in the late evening, bringing the total number of finishers to an impressive 15.

## THE BIG PICTURE
Day 4 gave us champions crowned, rivalries ignited, and milestones reached. But the forecast is turning, heavy storms are building, and the Dolomites are about to get wild again. For those still out on course, the real challenge may only just be beginning. 


Day 4: battles at the front, milestones at the finish, and legends in the making

Three days in, high alpine terrain continue to test every rider’s resolve but what shines through is the grit, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments this expedition is built on.

## ADVENTURE
Ludwig remains at the front, keeping a relentless pace as he continues. Behind him, the adventure field has shown astonishing resilience: only five scratches so far, despite the snow, storms, and endless hike-a-bike. It’s a testament to the strength, physical and mental, of this year’s riders.

## CLASSIC
Benjamin Maibach is laying down a strong, steady ride and looks set to take the first finish. Both Classic and Adventure riders are now turning back towards the Dolomites, where some of the most breathtaking landscapes await them. Meanwhile, Justus and the Party Pace Patrol scored one of the most magical nights of the event so far, reaching a shelter near Rifugio Monte Scale, where a group of seven settled in to watch a lunar eclipse unfold above the mountains. Bikepacking at its finest: exhaustion mixed with awe, with the peaks as their backdrop.

## ENTRÉE
### We have our first finisher! 
__Marcus Nicolson__ takes the 2025 ENTREE crown! After last year’s second place, the British rider based in Bolzano came back with a plan, attacking on Passo Mortirolo, taking the lead, and never letting it go.

Riding with intense determination, Marcus made just a single real stop at CP4 (Berggasthaus Eishof) before pushing straight to the finish. A steady, confident ride from start to finish.

But this was more than just a bikepacking expedition. Marcus dedicated his effort to raising funds for doctors without borders, supporting water trucks and critical aid in Gaza, where over 80% of the water infrastructure is destroyed. 
We are delighted to see Marcus perform at SNEAK PEAKS for such a great cause, supporting those who don’t have these opportunities but are fighting for survival.
Riding hard, riding smart, and riding with great purpose.

The Entree field is lighting up the finish line: by the end of Day 3, four riders have completed the route, an incredible achievement and a reflection of just how hard they’ve pushed since the start. Out on the course, Marion’s Party Pace Patrol continues to grow, now a caravan of 13 riders resting at Berghaus Eishof. Among them are four Adventure riders who’ve slotted in with the group, sharing stories and meals, before going separate ways again. From Eita to Eishof in one push, an impressive performance from the PPP group.

## THE ROAD AHEAD
The mountains are not done yet. Starting midday tomorrow, a massive storm is forecast to sweep in, bringing heavy rainfall and volatile conditions. Riders will need to make the call: push hard to finish before the downpour, or hunker down in shelters and wait out the weather. Either way, the Dolomites are about to remind everyone who’s in charge.


Day 3: resilience, beauty, and the calm before the storm

The second day of SNEAK PEAKS has pushed riders even deeper into the Dolomites’ wild embrace. The terrain is unforgiving, the weather unpredictable and yet, the determination across all categories is nothing short of inspiring.

## ADVENTURE
At the sharp end, Ludwig is still charging strong, now pushing towards CP7. Many of the Adventure riders have already crossed the highest point of the route, battling heavy snow along the way. Bartłomiej Brus gave us one of the day’s standout feats: missing the lift, he shouldered the challenge head-on, grinding out a 3.5 km hike with 1000 meters of vertical gain to reach CP6. Pure determination on display.

## CLASSIC
A highlight: Javier Angulo Guirao, who started hours late due to a broken hub, has clawed his way back to the front pack and is now sitting in 14th. Meanwhile, the Party Pace Patrol soaked up their time lakeside: wet but beautiful. They were even welcomed by a local Italian family for coffee and breakfast in their lakeside house, a warm and welcome reminder of the magic that happens in the mountains. After riding together to the next bigger town and another breakfast stop, the riders split and continued on their way.

## ENTRÉE
Party Pace Patrol Marion keeps the vibes steady, with a small but tight-knit group gathered around her. Together they’re moving through the tough terrain, finding strength in each other’s company. Many riders are bedding down at Rifugio Eita tonight, but they’ll face a brutal wake-up call tomorrow with remote, steep ground waiting right outside the door.

## WOMEN
The women’s field is going strong across all distances. In Entrée, the riders are close together, also resting at Rifugio Eita. For the Classic, Katharina, Sarah and Anne are powering forward with grit and consistency. And on Adventure, Marta and Philippa continue to hold the pace through the toughest sections. So far not a single woman has scratched.

## THE BIG PICTURE
Only 10 scratches in total so far, remarkable given the scale of the challenge. Spirits are high, even as the forecast looms: huge storms and heavy rain could roll in soon. For many Entrée and Classic riders, the hope is to push through before the worst of the weather hits. But in the Dolomites, forecasts can flip as fast as the wind changes.


Day 2: grit, snow, and unpredictable weather

The Dolomites wasted no time in showing their wild side. Riders rolled out with a glowing sunrise, only to be thrown into a full mix of blazing sun, rain, and even snow. True SNEAK PEAKS conditions, where sunscreen and snow jackets swap places within hours.

## ADVENTURE
Ludwig has been the headline act so far, pushing through the night with just a single hour of sleep after CP2. Spirits still high, he battled both the scorching heat and freezing snow, keeping the adventure spirit alive. The already brutal hike-a-bike sections turned into a next-level challenge under cold rain and sleet. Eight riders are now pushing towards Switzerland, while most of the group has set their sights on a few hours of rest at CP3 in Rifugio Malghera before rolling out again at dawn.

## ENTRÉE & CLASSIC
Here the Party Pace Patrols are setting the tone. Marion, guiding the Entrée crew, reached Albergo Brenta by mid-afternoon and will continue tomorrow, keeping her group smiling despite the terrain. Justus, on the Classic route, found his riders a dream overnight spot at Lago di Valagola, a perfect mountain lake backdrop to recharge before the next stage.

Meanwhile, plenty of riders are choosing the night shift, pedaling into the dark to stay ahead of the PPP. One thing is clear: no scratches so far, everyone is still in the game, driven by grit, camaraderie, and the magic of the mountains.


Day 1 in the books, what a start!

The outer space team at ORBIT360 is celebrating the second edition of SNEAK PEAKS, a community-driven, values-led bikepacking expedition. With three set routes of varying distance and elevation, SNEAK PEAKS promises to be one of the most challenging events on the global bikepacking calendar. The event is kept simple, human and with a low impact approach. With the Party Pace Patrol, the usual bikepacking “rules” are bent and riders are encouraged to take on the mountains together - and to forge friendships that last long after the finish.

## ROUTE PREVIEW
Three routes, one shared backbone through iconic passes and quiet valleys.

__ADVENTURE__ – 1.101 m & 37.660 moe

__CLASSIC__ – 808 km & 26.490 moe

__ENTREE__ – 500 km & 15.310 moe

All distances share key segments and meet at several checkpoints, so riders from different routes will cross paths, swap stories and carry each other’s momentum. The ADVENTURE route adds remote spurs and optional hike-a-bike flavors; ENTREE and CLASSIC keep things legal, mostly rideable and beautifully tough.

## WEATHER FORECAST
Mountain weather is a character of its own. Expect rapid shifts: cool nights, potential storms and quick changes in visibility. Lights, layers, and good decisions win the day.

Last year the Dolomites reminded us who’s in charge: out of nowhere, about 50 cm of fresh snow dropped and flipped the script within hours. This year’s outlook is much friendlier - stable windows, mild temps on the cards - but mountain weather can turn on a dime. In the high country, being ready beats being surprised.

## PREVIOUS EDITION RESULTS
Last time out, SNEAK PEAKS wrote a wild chapter: the ADVENTURE route saw Max Riese as first finisher (133h39m). CLASSIC’s fastest finisher was Sebastian Golisch, with Mascha Wahlig the fastest woman. In ENTREE, Laura Trost led the women to the line, while Lorenzo Berti set a cracking winner time of just under 56 hours. A high scratch rate underlined just how serious these mountains are - and how deep the camaraderie runs at every Rifugio.
