Tour Divide Day 21

Day 21

With the top 20 in, that's about 1/3rd of the likely blue/pink dot finishers home based on most years results. Those who finish inside 31 days will avoid the dreaded "orange dot" which befalls any riders spot if they drift outside of 90 mile per day pace. Anyone north of Silverthorne at the end of day 21 is likely going to struggle to close it out within 10 days from there.

First riders to Mexico today were Zoe Chauderlot from France and Nic Brown from New Zealand. They both shared the time of 20:14:07. Zoe is the second woman to finish, and held a staedy pace the whole race. Nic had a one day delay after returning to Abiquiu from Polvadera Mesa on day 17.

Dave Barter made it to Antelpe Wells just a few hours later to finish his ride in 20:15:52 for 23rd.

Hal Russell is currently (00:30) putting in a big day and riding up the base of Indiana Pass. He is still running ahead of the over 70 record pace and looking to break 30 days on his final ride down the Great Divide.
