Fanny Bensussan

Name: Fanny Bensussan

Age: 37

Location: Paris, France

Bike: Vitus Zenium Road

Key items of kit: Miss Grape bags, DHB equipment, Northwave shoes for my feet, and Hutchinson Sector 32 for bike's feet. Sinewave front light, Shimano Ultegra, hydraulic brakes, White Industry 50/32 crankset, White Industry rear hub, Dynamo Son 28 front hub, DT Swiss RR421 rims, Sinewave front light, Thomson X2 stem, Thomson Masterpiece seatpost, Ergon ST ProWomen saddle and 3T Ultimate Performance Tbars.

Miss Grape bags. Saddle bag for sleeping gear from Sea to Summit, warm clothes and extra kit from DHB, top tube bag for toiletry, food pouch for food (obviously) and frame bag for tools. I always carry a musette, it is like a large pocket to carry more food, it becomes a pillow at night, it comes handy in any circumstances.

Key items of kit: First time, I am using a hub dynamo to be more flexible and independent. Power charging during the day and no light issues during the night.

My sleep system is very simple: sleeping bag and sleeping pad -> find a dry place during the ride to have some rest.

My mental trick: A choclate as an reward after each achievement of a long climb.

Key items of kit: My sleeping bag. I went a trip to Denmark without it and froze every night. Never again, im looking forward to plenty of warm sleeps, hopefully! I will also take a small Vaude rucksack for quck access to a light jacket, gloves and food.

Key items of kit: My Apidura 0.8l food pouch ensures a steady supply of Haribo is always at hand. The Apidura Racing Top Tube Pack Long houses additional snacks, whereas the Apidura Frame Bag contains all the electronics, tools and so on. The saddle bag is an Ortlieb Seat Pack 11l where i put my spare clothes and my sleeping setup: Sea to Summit Spark Zero and a Thermarest Uberlight. My main light is a Supernova M99 mini pro B54. As I am riding without a dynamo hub I bring a 20k mAh powerbank and my secondary light (Ravmen PR16000) is also an emergency powerbank. Rear light is a Garmin Varia which I also intend to use at daytime for busy roads.
